SCIENTIFIC MEMORY OF THE PROJECT
1. SUMMARY (máximum 250 words)
2. INTRODUCTION - STATE OF THE ART
2.1. Antecedents
Include
a review of literature referred to the subject of the project. The use
of scientific references is recommended. Webpages can be also used when
they are used as reference wordlwide, avoiding those with non-scientific
contents and aims.
This part may also include our own data, specially those obtained in the
Nacho’s analysis (NA) last summer. They must be clearly stated and well
explained.
2.2. Hypothesis
Once the NA has been depicted, the hypothesis to be addressed in this project has to be clearly formulated.
3. OBJECTIVES
3.1. Main objective
One
clear objective must be set. Think that we have to develop a project
following the scientific method: Observation (State of the art chapter);
Hypothesis + Objectives (to explain what it has been observed and make a
proposal about how to address such hypothesis); Methodology and working
plan (to show which tools and approaches will be follow to prove the
hypothesis); Thesis (proposing a model which matches the observation
made at the begining).
3.2. Specific objectives
These objectives will allow to address more precisely the main objective.
4. METHODOLOGY AND EXPERIMENTAL DESIGN
The
experimental design must be clearly depicted, and the parameters to be
analyzed to address the objectives have to be indicated. A schedule
sheet is desirable can help to achieve the objectives.
Example:
|
Specific objectives |
No. Months |
|
3.1. |
Month 1 |
|
3.2. |
Months 2-3 |
|
3.3. |
Months 1-5 |
5. EXPECTED RESULTS AND DISSEMINATION PLAN
It
must be indicated the certainty by which our results may explain our
hypothesis and which ways will be used to disseminate the results.
6. CONTINGENCE PLAN
In
the case that our experimental design does not explain our hypothesis,
or this might be wrong, it should be indicated which alternative
approaches could be followed.
